Registered Massage Therapist | My Story
Diana Rose is a registered massage therapist who graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria in 2010. Diana began her career in Victoria, then moved north to Terrace, BC. She spent the last eight years building her own clinic.
Diana is a dedicated and caring therapist who always wants to work with her patients to develop the best treatment plan with long-lasting outcomes. She uses a wide variety of modalities suited to the needs of patients. They include but are not limited to:
- Deep tissue massage
- Trigger point therapy
- Myofascial release
- Muscle energy
- Stretching
Moving back to the island with her husband and two boys feels so wonderful for all of them.
How Are Registered Massage Therapists Trained?
Students must complete at least 3,000 hours of training at an accredited college to become an RMT in BC. Detailed study in health sciences such as anatomy, neuro-anatomy, pathology, kinesiology, and physiology provide inclusive educational criteria.
Other studies include clinical studies such as manual skills, remedial exercise, orthopaedics, hydrotherapy and patient education. The management of chronic diseases, injuries and the effects of long-term stress are also extensively studied.
